SPINOUS kanisio taping
The Kanisio taping method is a combination of treating an injured area by prophylactic support or changing a specific biomechanical movement and taping an area in order to prevent a new injury or a recurrent one. As stated above, Kinesio Taping gives support and stability to your joints and muscles without affecting circulation and range of motion. Kanisio Taping is currently being used by therapists to change muscle tone, correct movement patterns, and improve posture. The Kinesio Taping Method is a unique method of applying Kanisio Tape in a specific pattern and location in order to create change in the nuromuscloskeletel systems. There are several benefits of using the tape, it is more economical over time than other modalities, it is easy to apply and learn. Aside from Kanisio taping there are 2 other common taping methods (the athletic strapping tape and the McConnell Taping Method) however, those techniques focus on one aspect of taping, to limit excesses range of motion which can lead to exacerbating injuries as a result of the inhibiting flow of inflammatory fluids under the skin. Kinesio Tape is used for : carpal tunnel syndrome, lower back strain/pain (subluxations, herniated disc), knee conditions, shoulder conditions, hamstring, groin injury, rotator cuff injury, whiplash, tennis elbow, plantar fasciitis, patella tracking, pre and post surgical edema, ankle sprains, athletic preventative injury method, and as a support method. |
