LOW BACK PAIN AND SCIATICA

The back is a complicated structure of bones, joints, ligaments and muscles. You can sprain ligaments, strain muscles, rupture disks, and irritate joints, all of which can lead to back pain. While sports injuries or accidents can cause back pain, sometimes the simplest of movements—for example, tying your shoes — can have painful results. In addition, arthritis, poor posture, obesity, and psychological stress can cause or complicate back pain.
The term sciatica describes the symptoms of back pain with pain going down your leg with or without  tingling, numbness or weakness. this type of pain usually starts in the lower back and travel through the buttock and down the large sciatic nerve in the back of the leg.
Sciatica ( leg pain) is a symptom of an underlying medical condition, such as a lumbar herniated/ slipped  disc, degenerative disc disease, or spinal stenosis.
Sciatica is often characterized by one or a combination of the following symptoms:
Constant pain in only one side of the buttock or leg (rarely can occur in both legs)
Leg pain that is often described as burning, tingling or searing (vs. a dull ache)
In some case Weakness, numbness or difficulty moving the leg or foot.
A sharp/ "shock like" pain that may make it difficult to stand up or to walk

If you are experiencing pain or numbness in the back, leg or foot you could be suffering from a herniated disc. At SPINOUS Dr. Amidror will use innovative procedures to accurately diagnose your condition and then he would implement the  non-surgical spinal decompression procedure to alleviate the excruciating pain causing by your buldging disc and/or herniated/ slipped disc.
